# Data Freshness and Updates

IntelCenter records are updated as new material is collected and analyzed.

## Update Behavior

- New current and historical records may be added.
- Existing records may receive additional analysis.
- Search, Natural Language Search, and other capabilities may not reflect an update at exactly the same moment.
- Re-running the same query can return different authorized results.

## Sorting

Many search endpoints support a documented sort parameter or default to a chronological order. Do not assume an order that is not specified for the operation.

## Integration Guidance

- Use UUIDs or Component IDs to track known records.
- Apply date filters to bound recurring searches.
- Use paging or cursor controls exactly as documented.
- De-duplicate records by stable identifiers.
- Allow for a brief propagation interval before treating an update as absent.
